RYAN SUFFERN is a Grammy-Winning Director and an Emmy-Nominated Producer of over 20 non-fiction films and series. Most notably, Ryan won the “Best Music Film” Grammy for co-directing Jazzfest: A New Orleans Story in 2023. He has also directed the award-winning Finding Oscar, for producers Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall, What the Hell Happened to Jai Alai for ESPN’s acclaimed “30 for 30” series and Netflix’s A Final Cut For Orson: 40 Years in the Making, about the release of Orson Welles’s last film. In addition, Ryan has produced numerous other music doc titles, including the EPIX docuseries Laurel Canyon: A Place in Time, HBO’s The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart and the Rick Rubin / Paul McCartney docuseries for Hulu, McCartney 3,2,1. Ryan is currently available to direct commercial content with Underthink Studio.
